Sunday Ride Out from Ambleside 9th June 2024

Post Breakfast "Ride Out/Coffee & Cake/Ice Cream tasting session" we will leave at 11am, after an entertaining briefing.

"An exciting ride around Northern Cumbria riding from Ambleside to Pooley Bridge,  Langwathby and Caldbeck for our first brew stop. Then off to Ennerdale Bridge and Santon Bridge for another stop. Next we enjoy the delights of Birker Moore and Ulpha and finishing at Cafe Ambio at Newby Bridge. We’ll encounter all road types being A, B and single track. Lots of straight stretches, twisties and the occasional hair pins not to mention errant sheep along the route. Plenty of brew stops, loo stops and taking in the sights. The pace will be intermediate with no overtaking. Truth to tell we’ll have a great time. Journey is approx 140 miles and will take approx four to five hours bringing us back to Newby Bridge around four o’clock. See…
