About the event

This ride will encompass more sweeping A and B roads than our jaunt around Wastwater and the western lakes last month. I expect a more flowing pace in lots of open countryside and moorland.

From Costa at Morrinons in Kendal we will travel the A6 to Penrith before winding our way up Hartside Pass on our way through Alston to our first coffee stop in Allendale. There will be a short photo shoot for any budding photographers at the top of the pass in an attempt to provide the renowned Richard Sharp with material for the MBEAM newsletter.

After Allendale we will then head towards Hexham taking in a short (3.7 mile) section of single track road to bypass Hexham town centre. From Hexham, it is all open roads and moorland to our lunch destination at Winter’s Café in Middleton in Teesdale.

Afterwards, we will head back to our final destination, the Junction 38 Truck Stop at Tebay, via Brough and Kirkby Stephen.
